Horizon Health is not meeting its own wait time target of treating young people with mental health issues within 90 days. That admission being made by the Chief Operating Officer for Horizon, Andrea Seymour. She says without more resources, it’s unlikely that target will be met.
Seymour says steps and resources have been put in place to reduce the number of patients who have to travel outside the province for stem cell transplants.
The People’s Alliance Party is making the claim Horizon Health has hired University of Moncton students as secret patients to ensure bilingualism requirements are being met. The estimated cost, according to the People’s Alliance, is over 12 thousand dollars.
We got in touch with Horizon Health to verify the claim but haven’t heard back.
