Donations are pouring in to the Canadian Red Cross to assist those affected by the Alberta wildfires.
As of last night $11.5 million has been raised by both individuals and corporations across the country.
Spokesperson Dan Bedell says they are still trying to assess the current needs of the evacuees.
“It’s actually taking a few days to get a handle on where everybody is and where the needs are greatest. Who is falling through the cracks, that’s always the biggest issue for us,” he says.
Bedell expects even more people will be in need, once residents return to their neighbourhoods and find out whether or not they have a home to go back to.
