Thousands of dollars of donations continue to pour in to Alberta to help those displaced by fire.
The Atlantic Canada Airports Association is donating $35,000 through the Red Cross to help the relief effort for Fort McMurray.
Association Executive Director Monette Pasher says there is a huge connection between Atlantic Canada and Fort McMurray, either through many workers who fly back and forth on rotating shifts, or families and loved ones who visit.
President of the Atlantic Canada Airports Association Jamie Schwartz adds “our hearts go out to everyone affected by this tragedy and we’re very happy that we can make this gesture in support of the fire relief effort.”
The ACAA represents 12 airports in the region, including facilities in New Brunswick.
