St. Stephen welcoming in a new mayor.
Allan McEachern taking the head position with 808 votes, over Abby Pond who had 519 votes in the municipal election.
For St. Stephen Town Council, Jason Carr, Marg Harding, Ghislaine Wheaton, Phil Chisolm, Dave Hyslop, and Ken Parker have all been elected.
The new mayor for St. Andrews is Doug Naish, who beat out Kate Akagi , 387 votes to 290.
In St. George, Crystal Cook becomes mayor ahead of incumbant Sharon Tucker, 282 votes to 223.
Elected for Councillor positions in St. George: Faith Avery, Wayne Lee, Derek Hatt, Sterling Harris, Everett Cooke, and David Hooper.
In Blacks Harbour, Terry James staying on as Mayor for another term.
Council positions are taken by Carolyn Breau, Natalie Harris, Adam Hatt, Mike Chase, and David Mahar.
In McAdam, Kenneth Stannix is the new mayor, taking out incumbent Frank Carroll, 406 – 217.
Grand Manan Island had the biggest election in Charlotte County, Incumbent Mayor Dennis Greene retained his seat. The Island council will be filled by: Bonnie Morse, Robert Moses, Jayne Turner, Kirk Cheney, Roger Fitzsimmons, Mark Ingersoll, Mitchell Brown, Wayne Sturgeon, and Tammy Worthen.
