It’s national nursing week.
The week coincides with Florence Nightingale’s birthday. Nightingale is known around the world as the “Lady with the Lamp” and is the founder of modern nursing.
Health Minister Victor Boudreau says this is a great week to raise awareness of the important contributions that nurses make every day in the province..
Nurses represent the largest group of health professionals in New Brunswick. There are about 9000 of them in the province.
