The Premiers from the Atlantic Provinces meet today to talk about the economy and what can be done to generate more job creation.
Moosehead is one company that suffers because of interprovincial trade barriers which should be removed if the Premier want to grow the economy. That argument being made by John Williamson of the Atlantic Institute for Market Studies and before that the M-P in Charlotte County.
Williamson says for Moosehead to sell beer in other provinces, the brewery has to have a physical location in those provinces which drives up the price of their beer, making it less competitive and is why the trade restrictions are counter productive.
