The May long weekend is almost here.
Unfortunately, a sizeable increase in New Brunswick gas prices is expected.
Senior petroleum analyst Dan McTeague with Gasbuddy.com says we expect a big jump in gasoline at midnight.
“It looks like maybe a 4, maybe even 4.5 cents on the gasoline side. That’s a reflection about what has happened over the last week over speculation large demand for gasoline in the United States,” he notes.
Meantime, McTeague adds diesel prices are projected to jump by up to 3.5 cents per litre overnight.
