People in New Brunswick are being taxed to death and there’s more to come according to the Atlantic Director of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation, Kevin Lacey.
He points to the impending 2 per cent increase in the HST in July and now there’s talk from the Premier about a carbon tax being imposed at some point down the road. Lacey says that will make driving in the province even more expensive.
Lacey warns when people are taxed too much economic growth slows because consumers don’t have as much money to spend.
