The Premier is defending his government’s sporadic schedule in the Legislature.
Brian Gallant points out that lots of work takes place outside of the legislature but when it comes to the schedule, they presented one they
thought provided enough to debate and pass legislation and the opposition requested more time.
He says they will go back to the Legislature in late June and he sees no problem with them working in the summer.
Gallant was asked about when the government would move forward on cancelling the Canaport LNG Tax deal with the City of Saint John and he said officials have been reviewing it and an answer could come soon.
He says they want to make sure they do it the right way.
