It was standing room only at Rothesay Town Hall for the swearing in of the new council and Mayor Nancy Grant who says her priorities are to improve communication with townspeople, seniors housing, more transparency and to see the rink projected finished.
Rothesay Council unanimously elected Matt Alexander as the new Deputy Mayor.
Also on hand for the swearing in was Rothesay M-L-A Ted Flemming who says he hasn’t made up his mind yet which candidate he’s going to support for the leadership of the provincial Conservative party. Another candidate, Southwest Miramichi M-L-A Jake Stewart is expected to be joining the race today.
