Chris Saunders Memorial School in Quispamsis finally got its big grand opening celebration.
The school opened last September but a grand opening set for the winter was cancelled due to a snowstorm.
It’s named after the late Chris Saunders who was a member of the Royal Canadian Navy who died in the line of duty in 2004.
Chris’s mother Debbie Sullivan thinks the school is beautiful with lots of colour and she sings the praises of Principal Mike Wilson.
She says he does an incredible job adding he is very kind and treats her very well every time she visits.
Chris Saunders’ two sons Ben and Luke travelled from Nova Scotia with their mom to attend the grand opening.
Students, staff and friends were treated to performances by two school choirs at the grand opening celebration this morning in Quispamsis.
