Corridor Resources is claiming it recently advised the provincial government it was planning to spend an additional 70 million dollars in New Brunswick from 2018 to 2021. But that was before the moratorium on shale gas development was extended indefinitely.
Corridor President and C-E-O Steve Moran has released a statement expressing profound disappointment with the decision and the company is contemplating its next steps.
Moran says Corridor has spent more than 500 million dollars exploring for oil and gas in New Brunswick, paid the government over 20 million dollars in royalties and another 6 and a half million to landowners and municipalities.
