There’s no better place to visit than New Brunswick.
So says Minister of Tourism, Heritage and Culture, Bill Fraser, who is very optimistic about the upcoming tourism season, “Our website traffic has seen an increase of fifty percent over last year at the same time. Our tourism guides, we launched them the earliest ever this year, and the uptake on them had a significant increase over the previous year. So there’s a huge amount of interest.”
He says there was a 200 % increase on opening day at Hopewell Rocks as compared to last year.
He adds, this year was the first time opening day for Fundy National Park saw traffic lined through the village of Alma, with a thirty minute wait to get into the park.
It was also recently announced that St. Stephen will be hosting the official New Brunswick Day ceremonies on August 1st, that will coincide with Chocolate Fest, which runs from July 30th to August 6th.
