A new commanding officer is taking over the RCMP in New Brunswick.
Assistant Commissioner Larry Tremblay is taking over from Roger Brown who is entering retirement.
Tremblay has more than three decades of experience, including 11 years in New Brunswick on general duty, in drug enforcement, and covert duty.
He also was partnered with the Canadian Security Intelligence Service for four years to work on counter proliferation and terrorism.
Tremblay says continuing the solid relationships Roger Brown cultivated with the public and other partners over his tenure is critical to future success.
An official change in command ceremony will take place at a future date.
