A Sackville girl who stole the hearts of people across the Maritimes, after a search for a bone marrow match has lost her fight.
One year old Marlie Curwin passed away of leukemia this week.
Her aunt Kellie Curwin posted on Facebook on Tuesday afternoon. “It’s with such a heavy, sad, broken heart that I have to post this. Life just isn’t fair!! Despite all of our efforts, our prayers, our thoughts, our good intentions. Marlie has lost her fight.”

Clinics were held across the Maritimes this year, in an effort to find a bone marrow match for Marlie, and thousands attended, with the hopes they would be that match.
Friends and family members also posted, about how Marlie had touched their lives, and offered their words of sympathy..
