More than 100 young people from at least 50 countries around the world will arrive in Metro Moncton later this month.
The city is hosting an international forum on youth and green jobs thanks to a partnership between the provincial government and the International Organization of La Francophonie.
Minister responsible for the La Francophonie, Francine Landry says this is a chance for youth to promote a green economy.
“To talk and present some projects about green energy and youth employment as well,” she notes.
More than 1600 young people applied through an open competition with about 100 being chosen.
The Universite de Moncton will play host to portions of the forum from June 20-24.
The event has been previously been held in the north African nation of Niger.
