A man who pointed a firearm at Saint John police officers in the uptown area is facing multiple charges.
Sergeant Lori Magee says police were called to the area of the Three Sisters on Prince William Street for a report of a fight though the people had dispersed. Police found a 44-year-old man at a home and that’s when he pointed the firearm. He was arrested without incident.
“He was taken into custody where he remains while members of the Major Crime unit continue to investigate the incident,” says Sgt. Magee.
Sgt. Magee says people also responded to a crash on Bayside Drive. The driver went off the road and struck Bird Stairs causing significant damage. While there were no injuries from the crash it is believed the driver suffered a medical emergency and was taken to hospital.
