The Saint John City Market is getting some needed upgrades including fixing the roof and repairing the office space.
Manager Kevin Loughery tells CHSJ News is exciting to get the green light adding it’s been a lot of hard work so far and there is more to come.
He says the vendors and the public deserve it saying it’s a wonderful building that has been named Canada’s favourite public place.
Loughery says they know what they have and now they are just maintaining it for future generations.
Included in the $6 million joint funding from all levels of government is the recently completed work at the Germain Street entrance which saw a new escalator and elevator installed.
