Eager participants will be holding the boat and letting it run as the 12th annual event Dragon Boat Festival at Renforth Wharf.
The first races start at 9am tomorrow.
Event Co-ordinator Jill Logan says people can take the train out to enjoy the festivities.
She says if you can’t stay at the festival site but you still want to take the train you can just stay on.
Logan adds newcomers should take advantage of the park and ride service which stops to pick people up at the KV Superstore and the Rothesay Arena.
It’s free and runs all day long.,
The event features an online and onsite auction to raise funds for the St. Joseph’s Hospital foundation. It’s very family friendly with activities likelaser tag and several food vendors.
