A Saint John police officer was injured by a hypodermic needle while responding to a break and enter call in a residential area of the city’s west side.
We’re told that while responding on Sunday night, police found a 40-year-old man and arrested him for attempted break and enter. During a search, of the officer was pricked by the needle the man was carrying on him.
The officer went to hospital and has been treated and released.
The 40-year-old man is also facing an additional charge of unlawfully causing bodily harm.
