New Brunswick NDP Leader Dominic Cardy questions who would want to invest in a province that isn’t sure how much debt it has.
Cardy says the first quarter budget update for 2016, which included a wide ranging $80 million margin of error, shows the government is losing control.
He says the Gallant government “can’t even tell us how much debt we’re in”.
Cardy says New Brunswick is the only place in the entire world that needs to give government subsidies to marijuana farmers, when everyone has figured out you can sell weed without government subsidies.
He says the Gallant government always blames other people for their problems and failures.
Cardy says the blame is being put on NB Power in their first quarter budget update, saying their revenue isn’t as strong as possible.
The province is projecting a deficit of between $262.4 million and $342.4 million.
