A former Provincial Education Minister is generally supportive of the Liberal government’s new 10 year education plan.
Conservative MLA Jody Carr tells us the opposition was included in the process for creating the plan along with many others.
He says the general framework is good because it outlines all of the key elements of literacy, numery, the arts and he likes that its tied to the labour market and it has inclusion aiming to ensure every student reaches their full potential.
Carr finds the plan is short on details and on information about making sure the necessary resources are in place for teachers.
He says that’s ok as long as teachers, parents, political parties and more are involved in the implementation of the plan.
