There’s been a big jump in the number of housing sales so far this year.
The Saint John Region Chamber of Commerce says the number of houses sold during the first eight months of this year was just over 1500 which is an 18-percent increase from the first eight months of last year.
There were a total of 294 houses sold in the area in August as compared to 190 the year before.
