The Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick is supporting World Alzheimer Awareness Month throughout September.
The Society says the need for bringing awareness has never been so urgent with almost 17,000 New Brunswick families living with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia.
There are a number of activities and initiatives planned for the month to raise both funds and awareness.
World Alzheimer Day is September 21st, and the Society Resource Centres in Moncton and Saint John are hosting Grand Re-Openings.
Funds raised will be used to sustain and build education programs and support services for those with Alzheimer’s.
