A tentative contract agreement has been reached between the provincial government and New Brunswick Council of School District Unions. Local 1253 of the Canadian Union of Public Employees represents school bus drivers, custodians, engineeers and tradespeople.
No details of the multi year deal will be released until there’s a ratification vote. The union leadership is recommending acceptance.
Earlier this year, the union accused the province of bargaining in bad faith and trying to sabatoge negotiations with a pension review.
