A new poll released by the Canadian Payroll Association finds about half of us who work are getting by pay cheque to pay cheque and would find it tough to meet our financial obligations if our paycheque was delayed for even one week.
Just over a third of those who took part in the survey believe the economy will get better over the next year. 44 per cent think it will stay the same.
Three-quarters of those surveyed say they have saved 25% or less of their retirement goal and fewer of those trying to save are able to do so.
More than one-third of respondents feel overwhelmed by debt.
