A university education doesn’t come cheap these days…….Statistics Canada reports tuition fees for the 2016-2017 academic year have risen by an average of 2.8 per cent. Fulltime students in undergraduate programs are paying, on average, over 63 hundred dollars in tuition.
The average tuition in New Brunswick came to almost 67 hundred dollars which is lower than the 72 hundred dollars plus in Nova Scotia.
By comparison. undergraduates in Newfoundland and Labrador pay the lowest tuition at just over 27 hundred dollars. Quebec is second lowest at more than 28 hundred.
Undergraduate students in dentistry pay the highest average tuition at just over 21 thousand dollars a year with medicine at nearly 14 thousand. At the graduate level, average tuition for an executive MBA exceeds 48 thousand dollars.
Additional compulsory fees for Canadian undergraduate students have increased by 2.9% to an average of $873.
