A new poll from Corporate Research Associates shows support for the Gallant Liberals in New Brunswick remains strong.
In a telephone survey conducted during August, the Liberals captured 54 percent support of decided voters, the Progressive Conservatives had 28 percent support, the NDP and the Greens each had 8 percent support while the People’s Alliance had 2 percent.
In terms of the provincial government’s performance, almost half of those surveyed were satisfied while 39 percent were dissatisfied and the remainder did not have an opinion.
As for the leaders, Premier Brian Gallant captured 39 percent support, PC interim leader Bruce Fitch had 15 percent, the Green’s David Coon had 9 percent, the NDP’s Dominic Cardy had 8 percent and People’s Alliance leader Kris Austin had 4 percent.
More than 800 New Brunswickers were surveyed last month and the overall results are considered accurate within 3.4 percentage points, 95 times out of 100.
