RCMP confirming a 43 year old woman was struck and killed by a vehicle last night in Charlotte County.
Cpl. Terry Pomeroy with the St. Stephen Police says the accident happened around 9:45pm last night (Wednesday, September 7th), in the eastbound lane of Highway 1, in the Waweig area.
A 34 year old man, who was driving the vehicle, was also taken to hospital with non-lifethreatening injuries.
Police say both the victim and the driver were from the St. George area.
Alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the crash. Police say the woman was on foot, but they could not say if she was walking on the road or just trying to cross the highway.
RCMP are not releasing any names at this time.
