The province’s Climate Change Committee is hoping to have its recommendations ready by the middle of next month.
One of the presenters it heard from during the public hearings was a climate change denier, Ian McQueen who told the committee he has a degree in chemical engineering.
He argues the climate is always changing and the recent warming can be attributed to the El Nino weather pattern.
McQueen maintains no one has ever scientifically showed a connection between carbon dioxide in the air and climate. He adds sea levels appear to be rising when they aren’t because the land is sinking.
