The provincial and federal governments are contributing over $365,000 for wastewater treatment system upgrades in Grand Bay-Westfield.
MP for New Brunswick Southwest Karen Ludwig says any funding announcement is important, but certainly on the infrastructure side because it’s the foundation of a community.
Ludwig says businesses and residents notice these types of development in their communities, which draws more businesses and residents to the area.
She says infrastructure investment for clean water and wastewater ensures a strong foundation for when investments are made above ground.
Ludwig says working together with all levels of government is very important.
