The founder of the Joshua Group, Bobby Hayes is walking from Saint John to Moncton to raise money.
Secretary-Treasurer Cathy Gibson is following behind in a vehicle and tells us they’re hoping to walk 12 hours daily and make it to Moncton in three days time.
She says they need a bus to transport the kids back and forth from their homes to the Joshua Group at least twice a week but sometimes more often when the kids need a little extra attention or an extra meal.
She says the bus they have is ageing desparately.
Gibson estimates they need anywhere from 12 to 15 thousand dollars.
She says they have sponsorships and drivers are stopping to make donations along the way.
