Canadian Blood Services are stepping in to help a local boy with cancer.
From the St. George area, 8 year old Zackary Shaw is battling leukemia, and is in desperate need to find a match for stem cells.
A One Match Stem Cell Drive is going to be held at the Magaguadavic Centre (11 JO Spinney Drive, St. George) this Saturday, September 17th, from 10am to 3pm, in hopes of finding a match for Zackary.
CBS says they are specifically reaching out to men and boys between the ages of 17 and 35.
Canadian Blood Services says walk-ins at the special clinic this weekend will be accepted, and if you would like to register ahead of time to donate stem cells, you can sign up HERE
