A snag has developed after the founder of the Joshua Group, Bobby Hayes began walking from Saint John to Moncton to raise money.
Secretary-Treasurer Cathy Gibson is following behind in a vehicle and tells us they were hoping to walk 12 hours daily and make it to Moncton in three days time.
Gibson estimates they need anywhere from 12 to 15 thousand dollars to replace their aging bus.
Later in the day, they were pulled over by the RCMP who said they did not have permission to do the walk and, without such permission, it is illegal to walk along the highway because of safety concerns. What will happen today remains to be seen.
