It appears the honeymoon is not over yet for the Trudeau Liberals in Atlantic Canada according to a new poll from Corporate Research Associates.
The Liberals garnered 74 percent of decided voter support while the Conservatives were well back at 16 percent, the NDP had 7 percent and the Green Party captured 3 percent.
When it comes to a preference for federal leaders, Justin Trudeau came out on top with 65 percent support which was well ahead of Conservative interim leader Rona Ambrose at 11 percent, the NDP’s Tom Mulcair had 6 percent while the Green Party’s Elizabeth May was preferred by 5 percent.
Meantime, three-quarters of Atlantic Canadians said they were satisfied with the performance of the Liberal government.
The poll was conducted in August and more than 1500 adults in Atlantic Canada participated.
