Two additional charges have been laid against a Tracadie man accused in connection with an alleged child abduction this week.
A 71 year old man appeared in court yesterday, but he can’t be identified due to a court-ordered publication ban. He is now facing four charges, kidnapping, assault, abduction of a person under the age of 14 and forcible confinement.
RCMP says they arrested a man on Tuesday after a complaint. A child under the age of 14 who was riding a bike claimed they were approached by a man and taken to a nearby residence. The child was able to get away and leave the residence, and was not injured.
The man remains behind bars and will return to court on Monday.
