The Atlantic Football season is underway and the Saint John Seawolves’ new head coach is trying to change the culture around his team.
Nathan Gorham says they have a young team this year, because of a lot of senior players weren’t willing to commit to the number of and nature of practices he feels necessary to have a winning team.
“I think that we have a chance to win a championship here,” says Gorham.
“We played the defending champions…and we really were in the game the whole time and we really just found a way to beat ourselves through penalties and through mental errors and blown assignments.”
The defending champions are the Holland College Hurricanes.
Gorham says he heard from others that the level of commitment to attending practice and working hard during practice was very lacking last year.
