The RCMP in Sussex are investigating thousands of dollars worth of property damage believed to have been caused by a tractor trailer earlier this week.
On September 19th, between 4 and 5 in the morning, a tractor trailer travelling eastbound on the Roachville Road just outside Sussex came upon a covered bridge that was impassable.
The driver was forced to back up and turn around. In doing, the truck broke a utility pole, damaged asphalt and a driveway post on an adjacent private property. The RCMP are looking for the driver who did not report what happened.
Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time and possibly witnessed the incident or seen the truck to contact the Sussex RCMP at 506-433-7700.
