The Miami Marlins have confirmed star pitcher Jose Fernandez has passed away.
The 24-year-old died following a boating accident off Miami Beach early this morning.
The game between the Marlins and Braves today in Miami has been cancelled.
I tend to stay off of Twitter on start days but I cannot believe the news about Jose Fernandez. The game and the world just lost a great one
