An apology has been issued by the former Assistant Coach of the Acadie Bathurst Titan.
Pierre Bergeron resigned from his role on Tuesday, and an explanation came on social media yesterday.
In a post on Facebook and Twitter, Bergeron says he made the difficult decision of resigning after he was stopped by the police just over a week ago….while driving two players the their billet homes, and he was under the influence of alcohol..

In the statement, he says Hurting anyone or putting anyone’s life in danger was the furthest thing from his mind at that point. He says it has been the biggest mistake of his coaching career and life.
Bergeron also apologized the the players families, the Titan organization and to his own family.
