Another news conference will be held today on bilingualism, but this time the focus is French immersion.
Will the provincial government return the entry point for French immersion to grade 1?
Premier Brian Gallant and Education and Early Childhood Development Minister Brian Kenny will be there…and some reports says they will provide details on their plans to return French immersion to the grade 1 level.
This would make good on a campaign promise Premier Gallant made before he was elected.
The previous Liberal government moved the start of French immersion from grade 1 to grade 3, back in 2008.
The news conference is being held at 10am this morning.
