The Canadian Hurricane Centre now believes that Hurricane Matthew won’t pose a major threat to the Maritimes.
Forecasters are no longer issuing updates for Atlantic Canada and believe the storm will pass well to the south of us.
However, Environment Canada says it’s possible some tropical moisture from Matthew will bring heavy rain later in the long weekend.
Meanwhile, Florida’s east coast is bracing for the powerful storm and it could make landfall there on Friday morning after causing destruction in the Caribbean.
