It brings together Cedar Hill-Greenwood Cemetery, the Legion, Saint John Energy, the City and the Regional Chamber of Commerce in a specific act of remembrance.
The Veteran’s Banners which started last year will be returning soon with 58 new banners this year.
Larry Lynch from Branch 69 Legion says they feature soldiers from many conflicts including the two World Wars.
He says they have five banners featuring vets who served in Korea, one for a NATO peacekeeper, one for a veteran from the Persion Gulf War and three for soldiers that served in Afghanistan.
Lynch tells us the 93 banners will start going up next week thanks to help from the City of Saint John and Saint John Energy.
This year, you will see the banners along Main Street and Manawagonish Road also past Simm’s Corner towards Reversing Falls and down along Chesley Drive.
