Saint Johners are being warned of the possibility of an increase in cloudiness in the drinking water supply.
The City says because of the low levels of water in these lakes that a lot of rain or wind could lead to this issue.
Saint John Water will be keeping a close eye on two water supplies through the weekend and over the next several weeks.
We’re told cloudy water happens when rain or wind causes fine particles to end up in or get stirred up in watersheds.
As the cloudiness increases that means particles may be able to move through the system that aren’t properly disinfected.
The City says that if this leads to a need for a boil order, residents will be notified quickly.
