Do you think Canada should vote differently in the next federal election?
MP for South-West New Brunswick, Karen Ludwig, wants show you what’s out there, and hear your opinion. “The Prime Minister had campaigned in 2015 that the first-past-the-post model would be the last election that that would be applied. So certainly, now we’re looking for a broad spectrum across all ridings, and people to come forward just to hear about some of the different models.”
Ludwig is inviting everyone to join the dialogue on electoral reform, by hosting a meeting in St. George tonight, at the Magaguadavic Place, beginning at 6:30pm.
“Tonight’s meeting is a general consultation, so anyone within the riding and beyond, we would love to hear their comments, their feedback, and also learn about some of the models being applied elsewhere for elections.”
Another meeting will be tomorrow at the Upper Kingsclear Community Center, also beginning at 6:30pm.
Ludwig will be gathering the feedback, putting it into a report, and will send it off to Ottawa on Friday.
