Drivers in New Brunswick can expect gas prices to rise about 1.8 cents per litre this week.
Senior petroleum analyst Dan McTeague with Gasbuddy.com says market speculation is pushing pump prices higher.
“Suggesting that somehow, some way, OPEC is going to be able to curb production of oil. So there’s a lot of speculation over that and that’s what is really driving these prices north,” he notes.
McTeague says diesel prices are also expected to increase by about 1.8 cents per litre at midnight.
