Thousands of dollars worth of damage has been reported with the vacant St. Patrick’s School on City Line being vandalised. Major Crime has launched an investigation.
Police say the building was entered through a rear window with glass being smashed, sinks and toilets pulled from walls as well as doors and cabinets in the building being damaged.
The school was closed in 2014 because of safety concerns. The city received an application last winter for rezoning from Andreas and Nicole Holmes that would see the building redeveloped into commercial use.
