A category 4 hurricane is headed for Bermuda. Hurricane Nicole is described as dangerous with winds of 130 miles an hour.
According to the Canadian Hurricane Centre, Nicole is expected to track well south of the Maritimes.
Hurricane Matthew caused billions of dollars worth of damage in Jamaica, Haiti, Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas.
Last Sunday, Cape Breton and Newfoundland received heavy rain that caused extensive flood damage. Parts of Cape Breton recorded more than 200 millimeters of rain.
