Are taxpayers in the city getting value for what Common Council spends on economic development?
That question is being raised by Councillor David Merrithew who chairs the city’s Finance Committee. He wants the newly formed Growth Committee to find out.
Common Council, this year, is spending over 1.9 million dollars on economic development.
The Growth Committee heard a presentation last week from Enterprise Saint John.
