With a lot of rain in the forecast, the city is reminding Saint Johners who live areas that are prone to flooding to take some precautionary measures to keep themselves and their property safe.
These include clearing eaves, catch bains, ditches and more around their home.
In the event of flooding on the roads, drivers are asked to use extreme caution and not to drive through flooded areas whether they are marked or not.
Saint John EMO will monitor the situation and is ready to respond if needed. Crews have been out and about checking and clearing out inlets and outlets, clearing catch basins and more.
